And just what IS this thing?
A portable field recorder...records up to eight tracks simultaneously (DAT is two tracks), directly to a built-in hard drive. Battery powered up to 15 hours on a single charge, has a built-in CD/DVD burner...and oh yeah, it's waterproof.
